My mind is just a blank today as I have had too many images to be able to filter in this past month. I hope you will pray with me that God is giving me this blank slate to write His Words clearly there in my heart. At one of our camp fires, our Catholic cook came and told part of his story. He ended with "no one can know who has been given the grace of God." The next day, our team leader said he had been mulling that statement over in his head and explained how untrue it was, because we indeed can know. John 20:31
In Auschwitz, there are many displays to try to help us get an understanding of how many lives were lost. One was of Jewish prayer shawls...but the one that really broke my heart was shoes. They were all covered in dirt, but so many were from women and children. Women's shoes made for festive occasions...just like what we wear now if we wanted to look our best.
Please pray for MK's Mikaila and Ethan as they travel to Warsaw to get physicals before going on stateside assignment next month.
With love, Juanita
